This qualification is aimed at young people aged 14+ and adults who have an interest in following one or more of the occupational areas within the specification as a career and want to develop their work-related skills within this area. |
| Summary |
The OCNW Certificate in Engineering at Entry 2 and Entry 3 gives the learner an excellent introduction to a particular engineering occupational area in order that they may make decisions on whether to progress with further training and employment within an area. This qualification also promotes the development of wider employment skills emphasising the importance of appropriate conduct and dress within a work area and safe working practice throughout all work operations. |
| Assessment |
All units are assessed internally through the building up of a portfolio of evidence.
To achieve each unit all assessment criteria within the ‘What you need to do,’ section of the unit must be achieved.
For the full award a learner needs to complete unit 1, 2 and 3 and any one of units 4, 5 and 6. Internal and external moderation are a requirement for all units making up the full award. |
