Additionally a Life Skills qualification available at entry 1 and 2 compliments the provision and can be run alongside Skills for Life provision.

The National Tests for assessment of the Level 1 and 2 Literacy and Numeracy are currently available on-demand as paper based tests and will shortly be available on-line.

Skills for Life (SfL) provision includes:

  • Adult Literacy
  • Adult Numeracy

  • Life Skills
  • Pre Entry Literacy Numeracy Milestones 1 - 8

How to register a learner

A centre must ensure it is registered as a full OCNW or approved member centre to deliver OCNW Skills for Life programmes prior to registration of learners.

For all subjects within Skills for Life a learner must be registered with OCNW via the relevant Student Information Records Sheet (SIRS), these can be found in the
documents section.  If you are unsure which SIRS to complete contact the OCNW Accreditation Team email accreditation@ocnw.com or telephone 01524 845046.

Learners must be registered with OCNW within 7 weeks of commencement of a programme.

Once the SIRS has been completed with centre, subject and learner details it must be returned to the OCNW Accreditation Unit.

Alternatively SIRS can be completed electronically and emailed to
accreditation@ocnw.com.
