These skills can be developed in a wide range of different craft areas. This qualification is intended as a progression route from the OCNW Certificate in Craft and Design at Level 1.

There are several features of this qualification that make it very appropriate for its target learners:

The skills in craft processes can be gained in a wide range of craft areas allowing the qualification to meet the specific interests and needs of the learners

Moderation and certification can be offered throughout the year, allowing maximum flexibility for centres

Unit certification is available for either of the units

Assessment

To achieve a unit certificate all assessment criteria within the “What you need to do” section of the unit must be achieved. For the full award both of the units must be achieved.

Both units of the qualifications are internally assessed using tasks devised by the centre, internally

moderated and then subject to external moderation by OCNW.
