Target Group This qualification is aimed at a range of learners including: Those who are looking to work in an organisation and have some responsibility for the introduction and implementation of environmentally-friendly practice Those studying on a 14-19 Diploma at levels 1 or 2 Those undertaking additional learning as part of a vocational programme where environmentally friendly practices need to be encouraged e.g. construction, building service, engineering sectors.
Summary

All companies and other organisations in the UK are being encouraged to adopt more environmentally friendly management policies.  This OCNW certificate provides learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding of the main environmental issues facing organisations, how to carry out an environmental audit in their own organisation, to manage scarce environmental resources and to reduce the risk of pollution.    The qualification can be delivered either as a classroom based course or as a blended learning programme.

 

Assessment

To

To gain a unit certificate, all assessment criteria within the unit must be achieved. For the full qualification, learners must complete six units, including Unit 1 and five of the seven optional units.

 

All units are internally assessed using tasks that cover the relevant assessment criteria, internally moderated by the centre and then subject to external moderation by OCNW.

 

On completion of the learner's evidence, for either the individual units or the full award, the assessor is required to complete the Summary Record of Achievement for each learner.
