Target Group This qualification is aimed at young people aged 14+ and adults who have an interest in following one or more occupational areas within the construction industry.
Summary

The OCNW Certificate in Preparation for Employment in the Construction Industries gives the learner an excellent introduction to a particular occupated area with the construction industry in order that they may make decisions on whether to progress with further training and employment within an area.  This qualification promotes the development of wider employment skills emphasising the importance of appropriate conduct and dress within the work area and safe working practice throughout all work operations

Assessment

Units 1 and 3 are assessed through internal assessment.

Units 1 and 4 are assessment through external assessments.  The external assessments are provided by OCNW and are available in all the endorsed occupational areas within the qualification.

Internal and external moderation are required for both the internally and externally assessment components of the full award.
