Target Group This qualification is aimed at young people aged 14+ and adults who have an interest in Business Administration as an area of employment and want to develop practical skills in this area.
Summary

The OCNW Certificate in Business Administration at Entry 2 and Entry 3 gives the learner an excellent introduction to a variety of business administration tasks to help them to make decisions about whether to undertake employment or further training in these areas. It will give learners a good background to business administration, which will be of practical use in any business employment.

 

There are several features of this qualification that make it very appropriate for its target learners:

 

§         Assessment is through the building up of a portfolio of evidence, allowing flexibility in terms of the learner putting together evidence most appropriate to their learning situation

§         Learners can acquire and be assessed on their practical skills through working with their peers in role play situations

§         An emphasis on the learners acquiring practical skills and assessment through the demonstration of those skills

§         Moderation and certification can be offered throughout the year, allowing maximum flexibility for centres

Assessment

All units are assessed internally through the build up of a portfolio of evidence.

 

To gain a unit certificate all assessment criteria within the “What you need to do” section of the unit must be achieved. For the full award, learners must satisfy all the criteria for the five mandatory units.

 

Internal and external moderation by OCNW are a requirement of the full award.
