Following on from the Awards and Certificates in Personal and Professional Development OCNW is now moving forward into the next phase of FLT qualification developments. The intention is to use the Certificate in Personal Development as a keystone qualification with other introduction to work qualifications branching out from it. You can see how this might work in the flowchart which can be downloaded below.

The plan is to use each of the vocational taster units in the Certificate in Personal Development as an introductory unit into a more detailed preparation for work qualification in that vocational area. This will create natural progression routes for learners and help them develop in their learning.

Initially we will be redeveloping our existing NQF provision and moving it into the QCF to do this. Where on the NQF our qualifications were available at Entry 2 & 3, our new qualifications will be available at Entry 3 and Level 1. This makes the qualifications align more with the principles of the FLT Qualification Strategy.
